Early Start uses the Miami-Dade Public School calendar to place children in classrooms.

6 weeks to 11 months: babies will be placed in the Infant Class until their first birthday or longer if they are learning to walk.

1 year olds: one year olds  will be placed in one of our Toddler Classes classes according to their age. They will be with children their own age for the school term, as they grow they might me moved to another toddler class. They will turn two during the school term

2 year olds: if your child turns two before September 1st, he  or she will be placed in a Discovery class. We divide the classrooms according to the child's age. They will turn three during the school term 

3 year olds: if your child turns three before September 1st, he or she will be placed in a Discovey Class class. You may choose your favorite teacher, space permitting. They will turn four during the school term

PreKindergarten/VPK: if your child turns four before September 1st, he or she will be placed in a PreKindergarten class. You may choose your favorite teacher, space permitting. Please go to VPKHELP.ORG to apply for the VPK certificate. With a VPK certificate, your tuition will be lower.

We can start potty training in the Discovery Class (2 and 3 years old). The whole process has to be coordinated between home and school. 

Our school year starts in August, the same day as the Miami-Dade Public Schools. Early Start is a year around program, we are open 52 weeks, we only close about 12 days per year. Please see our calendar. Each school term, you may take two weeks off without incurring tuition.

Immunization and Physical forms from a doctor. The rest of the forms will be provided by the school.

For emergency weather closings we follow the Miami-Dade Public Schools, HOWEVER, if conditions allow we will open as soon as possible even if the public schools remain closed. We will inform the community with a message on our phone line, and through our Facebook and Instagram pages.
